Greenville, South Carolina (Noticias Nuestro Estado) – There will be an art exhibition at the Greenville Tech Library in honor of Black History Month. This is the 7th year the technical college is putting on this art exhibit for Black History Month.
The exhibit will feature Felicia Greenlee’s work. Felicia who was born in Philadelphia but moved to Seneca when she was 8. She graduated from Clemson University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She worked as a textile designer for 16 years and now works on other forms of art.
Recently, Felicia’s art has focused on collages made out of wood. Many of her pieces depict chains and renditions of the confederate flag. Her work evokes conversations around social justice in the United States.
The exhibit will be open throughout February in celebration of Black History Month at the Barton Campus Library.
There will be an opening reception on February 1st at the Barton Campus Library from 6 to 7:30 PM.
